When I took this photo (and that was about 10 years ago) this was a completely abandoned and ruined castle. The door was closed and I decided to walk around the castle. But at a certain point I couldn't go on anymore. I decided again to push the door a little, it now opened and I saw an older woman running away from the door. I saw that it was closed on the inside with a bar. And the woman motioned for me to go inside. Now I had the entire castle to myself. Unfortunately I can only post 2 photos, I would have liked to show more. This was a very old castle, where the feud between Spain and Portugal was once settled. Today the castle is being restored by volunteers.
