Nikon Z9 + Nikkor 300mm f2,8 1-640s iso2500
I’m reading in many IG and Fb profiles to use specific fast shutter speed to take pictures with dogs running in action in dog photography. This is an example of a photo taken at 1-640s.
So now what? How it’s possible?
Don’t listen about what people are saying as mandatory but try to understand why some photos can be in focus even with dogs running in action like this one I took with a lower shutter speed. Try to understand how the things work and don’t trust teacher or people that tell you what to do as a dogma. The technique is not the secret of a success. It’s just a technical step to understand to open your brain to the most important part of a photo… the creativity!
Instead, follow, listen, get inspired and learn from people that are trying to push you to create going over the rules understanding that you can create the rules you want and make it successful even if the shutter is slower than what most people say to use! ☺️
Stay always grounded and you will achieve the photos of your dreams with your amazing dogs! ❤️
Enjoy the light and don’t be afraid to create and be different if necessary ☺️
