Photo I took of an Osprey at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve near Huntington Beach, California. I was fortunate to capture an image of this hawk as it was perched on a dead tree surveying the wetlands. These magnificent raptors, like so many wild birds, are teetering on the brink of extinction, due to habitat encroachment and climate change. In the future, photos like these may be all we have left to remember them by.
