Always up for sunrise even on my wedding anniversary lol...Lighting
Sunrise is always going to give you whatever it gives you, the job we have as photographers is to assess what it is we are being presented with and react accordingly. I decided with the sea being where it was and seeing the double starburst in the reflection to shoot straight into the rising sun, being blessed with the lovely light on the ebb tide sands too.Equipment
It was taken many many years ago on an old Canon 40d on a tripod, using Lee Filter soft grads to hold back the exposure in the sky.Inspiration
I love seascapes and the pier is obviously a great focal point plus with the sunrise and putting it all together with a bit of thought the starburst and reflection was a good choice to make with a lower perspective to capture the ebb tide sands.Editing
Unfortunately there were several dust bunnies to remove then a bit of dodge and burn to get a nice contrast to the light and the shadows. In my camera bag
Camera bag has switched from back then when I was all Canon to today being all Sony.
