I have recently revisited some 10 year old files with newer editing software - and wow - what a pleasure!

This stunning waterfall is on the tiny island of Jeju-do, off the coast of South Korea in the East China Sea.

A tropical, volcanic island reminiscent of Hawaii (except the evergreen trees - the volcano sees snow occasionally in the winter!) it is surrounded by impossibly blue, warm, salty water, peppered with caves and waterfalls, basalt crystal cliffs, and a few sandy stretches of beach that rival any I've ever visited.

The Island is home to two Unesco World Heritage sites - one a massive cave system, the other a waterfall named Cheonjiyeon, and about 30-40 minutes from these falls (which are in a system of three falls under a famous bridge in the Jongmun area).

This was taken late morning with a CPL and 6 stop ND filter, a 6 second exposure on a Nikon D700 with a 24-70 f-2.8 lens, and of course, a tripod.
