Behind The Lens
Location
Grand Canyon National Park, North Rim trail. My brother held on to my feet so I could slide out to the edge safely, as the ground was already snow covered, and capture this.Time
This photo was captured between 1030-noon.Lighting
The lighting was completely unpredictable. Between the desert and the snow and clouds rolling thru it was unpredictable and amazing. Each snap of the shutter captured different highlights and crevices.Equipment
Canon Rebel T6, long lens and a harness, lens warmer.Inspiration
The Grand Canyon alone is inspiring and the chance to capture and show it off in rare form was too good to let slide by. You see photos of it as a blazing desert setting all day, rarely do you get to see it between snow squalls.Editing
I adjusted exposure parts slightly to really show off what's there and raised clarity/dehaze slightly. In my camera bag
Canon Rebel T6, short and long lenses, lens warmer/rain cover depending on expected weather. Lens wipes and my camera harness, extra batteries.Feedback
February was frigid and windy but the risk was well worth the reward.
