Behind The Lens
Location
This capture was taken in my grandmother's garden. Checking for fallen branches in the yard I spotted these beauties and had to capture the first signs of spring.Time
It was early morning, dew still on the grass.Lighting
I believe it was over ast but still bright out that day. Standard Michigan spring day.Equipment
Canon rebel 76 with a 18-55mm lensInspiration
I watched The Secret Garden as a child and Duncan's words about the crocuses being the first signs of spring echoed in my mind. My grandma uses a walker and couldn't easily walk the grounds she spent 25+ years curating so I captured the beauty for her.Editing
Minimal lighting adjustments, I probably increased clarity and dehaze slightly. In my camera bag
Lens wipes, standard and telephoto lenses, Marco attachment, harness and my Warf figurine who goes on every session with me.Feedback
Go for a walk in the early spring. Look around, enjoy the air, the wind, the peeks of green. They like peeking out of leaves from my experience.
