Behind The Lens

Location

This great moment was taken at Navy Pier in Chicago.

Time

Time of this event is late into an evening. A few hours after the golden hour in a cold winter day.

Lighting

Make sure to catch all the action from a standing point. This moment is possible with no tripod since it is a busy area and it becomes overcrowded at times. Making the tripod in the way of all the pedestrians if used.

Equipment

The type of Camera It is a Nikon 7200 with just a few months in use. The lens that is being used is an Opteka 6.5mm it can be bought at Amazon. I also added a 2X tele converter from Tamron. Making the depth of field times two. It becomes 13mm.

Inspiration

At Navy Pier in Chicago. There is many moments that can be captured and share. Just imagine the amount of lights at night. The detail that can be seen with all the lights. It is just a matter of focus and the right detail to be taken. It will make the moment a due Master piece in a camera that has a right lens.

Editing

Very minimum post processing. The processing used only to focus on light. My moment that I had captured lack the full stop when taken. The detail was spiked about .05 percent. Making the lights shine and detail reveling to the human eye. Made the reflection of the Carousel ride more sharp.

The equipment consist of a camera. A Nikon 7200. Lens Opteka 6.5mm Tamron 70-300mm Nikon 18-55mm Tamron 2x tele converter Tripod sometimes. Extra batteries Flash light

Feedback

My advise. Is to imagine the moment. To capture the moment may take a few captures. Just remember you are the Artist and the one that pushes the button. Remember to keep updates on the weather. It may be cold so take extra protection for finger or body. It may be hold so take lots of water. It may rain so take a trash bag to protect all your gear! If you have room take tripod, it may be heavy but it will be worth it. Remember to breath... Since this type of moment makes us photographers forget to breath at such static moment. By all means remember your safety is first. Be safe where you take all your moments.
