Behind The Lens

Location

I was on Sweetnam Drive in Stittsville, Ontario. There is a uhaul business with storage there, and my husband and I were buzzing around the vacant spaces and the lot, because he had a workshop there.

Time

About one in the afternoon.

Lighting

I had perfectly clear,sunny skies.

Equipment

I think I was using an older Fuji about 12 mp I just pointed and marvelled.

Inspiration

I love industrial scenes: the labour, the raw materials, the strength and beauty of building and transporting.

Editing

Yes, this shots' lovely wood stain tones were colour adjusted to enhance the depth of the colour bringing them back from sun washing, and I also heightened the contrast a little. I believe that I cropped this slightly. Max impact!

In my camera bag

A Fuji camera, outdoor tripod, batteries and an auto if in battery charger. Also a bandanna.

Feedback

If you are not using a tripod ( in case the truck backs up???) Try to really set the camera steadily by focusing and half clicking to maintain the focal d.o.f.
