Behind The Lens

Location

I've taken this photo at the Dynjandi (or Fjallfoss) in the Westfjords area in the north-western part of Iceland.

Time

As I remember it was somewhen in the afternoon.

Lighting

It's just natural light from a cloudy sky - so really diffuse light.

Equipment

I shot this photo with a Canon EOS 6D and an 85mm f/1.2 lens, mounted on a Sirui tripod.

Inspiration

I saw many waterfall photos with person in front so I thought this beautiful waterfall makes also a good location for one - especially for a selfie.

Editing

Just the standard RAW converting - so some contrast and curves.

In my camera bag

Now I switched completely to Fuji - I have an X-T2 and some prime lenses in my back.

Feedback

When you use a lens like the 85mm f/1.2 wide open try better to manual focus to get the perfect sharpness where you want it.
