Location
This photograph was taken at a penthouse suite in Liverpool city centre (U.K), I quite often hire this location because it has plenty of rooms, all of which are well coordinated and decorated to a high standard. Because they are private suites, the models and creatives always feel comfortable, which is a big plus when it comes to creating images like this.Time
It was around mid morning when we finally started shooting, using my preferred natural light which was coming in from the penthouse window behind me.Lighting
As I mentioned, natural light is my preferred method, especially when trying to capture an image that need to look pure and original, using additional lighting on this kind of image for me personally takes away the natural beauty and can make it look a bit false.Equipment
All shot using my Nikon D800 fixed with my nifty 50, no tripod for this style, you have to feel the angle and have the flexibility to get down into the right positions.Inspiration
I am a regular lingerie photographer and so this was part of one of the photo shoots I'd organised with fellow creatives.Editing
As little as possible, some D&B in Photoshop and a bit of contrast enhancing, but that's about it.In my camera bag
Always a fun collection of Nikon cameras and lenses, some sigma too. A set of speed lights, triggers and cleaning equipment, plus plenty of spare batteries!Feedback
I would honestly say 'Just have fun', don't be afraid to try new angles, position your model, look for the light that's most appealing, get yourself into the position where you want your model to be, look at it from their perspective, feel the shot, the mood and just go with it. Don't follow too many rules, create your own!
