How did you get such an even and smooth edit? Frequency Seperation with an extra blur layer?

I used a diffuser in natural light to initially soften the effect of light on her skin. No extra blur layer was added.

Yes. The edit is perfectly flawless. Great lighting, as well. Beautiful work.

Sometimes eyes are just that encapsulating and eye-catching. Besides the fact that your subject is beautiful, the expression does wonders. Very nice

The only thing for me that stops it being perfect is the slight lip liner. Should have just smudged it in. The profile the bones the hair eyes everything else is perfection

Location
This photograph of Jodie was taken in my home studio.Time
It was about 1pm when we started this set.Lighting
It was the first time I'd photographed Jodie and I really wanted a collection of natural light portraits. For this portrait, I used only window light.Equipment
As always, I shot with my Nikon D800 fitted with a nifty fifty, they are great portrait lenses.Inspiration
I am a big fan of natural light portraiture and it seemed the obvious choice when Jodie arrived at the studio. The light was perfect and it really highlighted her skin tones.Editing
As little as possible to keep it looking natural, but I did apply some D&B in Ps.In my camera bag
My Nikon D800's and a selection of Nikon lenses, I alway carry speed lights, spare batteries, CF cards and cleaning equipment.Feedback
I'd always say the same thing, just look for the light and have fun, don't think to much about what other photographers capture, if I was in the same room as you, with the same light and the same kit, we'd still capture two completely different images, so just go with what makes you happy, we all make mistakes!
