There is just something about this photo. I love the B&W. It just captures my eye!!

Location
This image titled 'Autumn Breeze' was captured at my home studio in Lancashire, U.K.Time
It was around mid-day when I captured this particular shot, it's one of my personal favourites. The model in the photograph had just returned from holiday, her skin was tanned and it was a bright, but breezy autumn afternoon.Lighting
I knew that I wanted to shoot this portrait in natural light, I decided to keep it quite low key and let the natural, tanned skin tones come through, thus enhancing the models eyes.Equipment
This was shot using my Nikon D800 with a 50mm 1:8 Nikon lens.Inspiration
Most of my inspiration for portraiture comes from the spare of the moment, I make plans to meet people and keep it quite relaxed, no make up artist or stylists are involved, it was just me, my camera and the model, the light was falling beautifully and the results spoke for themselves.Editing
I shot RAW in colour, and processed the shot in Photoshop into B&W.In my camera bag
Usually my collection of Nikon camera body's and lenses, speed lights, triggers and spare batteries, they are a must have!Feedback
I'd honestly say don't try to hard, just relax, capture the moment, look for the light, speak with your model because communication is key, explain what you're looking to achieve and don't rush it. You may get the shot straight away, or you may be sitting around for a few hours, either way just enjoy the moment and don't live by to many photography rules of thumb!
