Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken at HotHouse Theatre in Wodonga, Victoria.Time
It was taken during a quite period on a shift while working. We weren't able to make any noise so I took the chance to experiment with some settings.Lighting
Nothing was set up or staged. All the lighting and reflections are as they would be most days. I had seen the potential for this shot dozens of times but not had the chance to set up my gear.Equipment
Used my old Canon 1100D and a tripod. That was nearly all the gear that I had then.Inspiration
Working behind the bar, I saw this view many times and knew that the shot would work as long as it was framed well.Editing
Not a great deal of pp. Added some vignette and removed some of the Chromatic Aberration in LR 3. Small amount of cropping. In my camera bag
I now have a 700D, 24-105 L lens, a 55-250 kit lens and a 50 mm 1.8. Have also borrowed a 430EX II flash for some experimenting.Feedback
If you see something unusual, make the effort to capture it as YOU see it. Plan the shot and take time to unsure that there are no distractions in the frame. The closer you get it in the camera, the easier it is to process.
