Location
This photo was taken in stately home in EnglandTime
The sun was streaming through the window and the model was being illuminated beautifully. It was late afternoon in Spring.Lighting
The model was backlit and I used a giant reflector to throw light back onto her. The bokeh came from sunlight hitting the glass lantern that is suspended from the ceiling.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon 5D Mark IV. I used my 24-70mm lens. Handheld.Inspiration
This was an organised shoot but I love using natural daylight and playing with reflectors and shadows.Editing
Yes, I processed the image in PS. I spend time processing my images, not to change them, but to enhance what has already been captured. In my camera bag
My camera plus usually two lenses - my 24-70mm and my 85mm prime. I rarely use a tripod. I use reflectors, but they are large so I plan to use them rather than have them in my bag as standard.Feedback
Play with natural light before assuming the lights are necessary. There is nothing more beautiful than natural light, and a large reflector can achieve a beautifully soft image that is perfectly lit.
