i lie the strong masculinity prescence of the space and the contrasting subject of a delicate woman... like she looks delicate but her spirit is strong...

Thanks Bonnie. There is an old four poster bed behind her if you can just make it out in the shadows. This was am amazing shoot and this particular image is one of my personal favourites.

I just wanted to leave a quick note to say thank you for participating in my "Portraits on Location" challenge. While I ultimately chose another photo as the winner, this one was one of my 100 favorites in a field that was just shy of 2000 entries.

Location
This was an amazing photo shoot organised by Walter's Wardrobe at a stately home in Yorkshire called Wentworth Woodhouse.Time
This was taken in the morning.Lighting
This was taken in natural daylight. I prefer to work with only natural daylight as I live the depth of the shadows and highlights it creates.Equipment
I used my new Canon 5D Mark IV camera plus my 24-70 f/2.8 lens.Inspiration
I loved the transparency of the dress and the way the light highlighted the dress and the beautiful model. There is a four poster bed behind her, which can just about be seen in the shadows.Editing
I shoot in RAW so post processing is essential. I used Lightroom and Nik's ColorEfex on this one.In my camera bag
Usually my camera and a couple of lenses - my 70-200 and my 24-70.Feedback
Look for the light. The light leads. Then position the model in it. Try different poses until you find the one that best conveys what you are seeking to achieve in your photo.
