Anche senza vedere il tuo nome, sapevo che questa foto era di una persona italiana. Bellissima... I love Italian poppies!

The way you captured the sunlight and made it so that it didn't drown out the field of colors is magnificent!

Beautifully composed with nice point of view. Really draws the eye to the poppy and then to the sunset with depth of field. Colors are brilliant and crisp. Love the lines in diagnonal left to right. Definitely utilizing the rule of thirds.

Location
I took this image in early July 2016 at Castelluccio di Norcia, Marche, Central Italy. While I was driving to Castelluccio I didn't expect to find such an unusual landscape! I recommend to go in Castelluccio during the blooming period when the valley gets all these colors and with the good weather conditions you can also go hiking.Time
Sunset, golden hour. I love this lighting.Lighting
In my opinion the most important thing that can make the difference between an ordinary photo and a great photo is the light! You can have the most incredible landscape in front of your lens but without the right quality of light you can still be left with a flat, dull, and uninspiring photo. The type of light in this photo produces a low contrast, reducing the chances of losing parts of your subject in strong shadows or blown-out the highlights. Moreover, the warm glow adds a pleasing feel to the scene adding texture and depth to the image.Equipment
I used a tripod to shoot bracketing (Manfrotto MT190CXPRO4+ MHXPRO-3WG) . D800 + Nikon 14-24 2.8 and remote shutter release.Inspiration
The sunset and the beautiful colors of the flowery meadow.Editing
I took and elaborated the three single shoots (0, +1 and +2 exposition) with LR adjusting essentially a bit of contrast. After that I combined the shoots with an HDR effect utilising a my own profile which I fine-tune in relation to the type of picture. Afterward I woeked with luminosity mask in PS in order to draw attention to the single lights and shadows areas like the clouds and flowers in the foreground. In my camera bag

Shoot with a good light is fundamental. Moreover it needs to find a way to give depth to the image. In this photo the flowers in the foreground are perfect for this purpose. I did not use the hyperfocal distance but I tried to obtain a slight blur for the background in order to draw attention exactly on the flowers in the foreground. The framing has been realised positioning the camera about 20 cm from the grass in order to give the impression to dive in the grass.
