I was born in Nevada and raised in Reno. Burning Man is always such a neat time of year! I love this photo with the angles of the shadows and the sun burst...great job!

I took this image at Burningman Festival in Black Rock City, NevadaTime
I took this image early in the morning.Lighting
At Burningman festival , it's best to get up at dawn to shoot photos, before the intense heat and dust storms settle in. I liked the long shadows of early morning and late evening for this photo.Equipment
I used a Canon Eos rebel and a SLIK tripod.Inspiration
It's difficult to NOT be inspired at Burningman festival. There are photo opportunities everywhere you look. I had to wait about an hour to capture this shot with no people in the photo. Not that I object to people in the photo, but I didn't want to have to contend with a model release.Editing
I took 3 shots and used PhotoMatix for HDR post processing. In my camera bag
I always carry a tripod and lens paper.Feedback
If you plan on going to Burningman festival be sure to put duct tape around every crack of your camera or dust will creep in. I keep my camera in a plastic baggie to keep the dust at bay. Also, keep your camera in a cool, shaded spot as the intense heat of Black Rock Desert can easily melt a camera. If folks are in your photo, be sure to ASK if you can take their picture before you begin shooting. Not everyone is agreeable to having their picture taken. Put your camera away and spend some time simply BEING at the festival.
