Great shot! Nice sky; nice foreground. Great composition. Reflects solitude, not loneliness.

Your photos are breathtaking! This is the first I have heard of infared photography.

Location
I took this photo near Big Sur CaliforniaTime
The morning.Lighting
I love the mood and look of infrared as it brings out the drama of an upcoming storm. I find myself grabbing the IR camera before the color DSLR when the weather is bad. I used natural outdoor lighting.Equipment
I used a Nikon camera that I converted to Infrared.Inspiration
I tend to concentrate on a different view of the world that surrounds us everyday. I love workign with infrared as it tends to show a different view of things we pass by every day. I see my photography as portraits of nature rather than just photos.Editing
I use Photo Matix to convert my images to sepia. In my camera bag
I always carry a SLIK tripod, lens paper, Canon EOS digital rebel, Nikon converted to IR and a Holga.Feedback
When shooting with infrared, be patient and wait for a storm. It's worth the wait. Many times I visit a spot for hours and hours before I am satisfied with the results.
