Location
This was taken in a studio environment that I was using when I lived back in Toronto, Canada.Time
IT was taken indoors in the afternoon so the light that you see in the photos is from the flashes used to light the model.Lighting
I used two Canon speedlights to light the model so as to get a nice reflection from the jewelry metal that she is wearing.Equipment
I used the Canon 5Dmk2 and the Canon 24-105mm f4 L lens to take this shot, since I wanted to get a lot of nice details in the jewelry and her face so I used a high fstop of F18.Inspiration
I wanted to take some shots of a model that was nude but also having her nipples hidden so it wouldn't seem truly nude. I also wanted to figure out how to have the model wear jewelry on her face and body without it being attached by piercing. So, I looked around for a type of glue that is used in theater and used that to glue the jewelry pieces to the model's skin. The process took almost 4 hrs although there weren't many pieces to glue but it was important to get everything right.Editing
I did some post-processing in softening the light and the shadows in the photo but that's about it.In my camera bag
I usually shoot with the Canon 5Dmk3 camera and as for lenses I use the Canon 24-105mm f4 lens quite often as well as the Rokinon 8mm fisheye lens as well.Feedback
You will need to do a lot of research to find what is the best glue to use so that it doesn't irritate the model's skin and it's easy to apply and take off, aside from that you need to find some interesting pieces of metal jewelry which you can get even from a dollar store or a cheap jewelry shop for teens and then take those apart carefully and apply them to the model's skin with glue. You will probably need a female assistant as well to apply all the jewelry to the model since some parts are quite sensitive.
