At Foxton Beach I stopped mid walk and reflected on the astonishing colours and reflections the sky and light were creating on the wet surface of the sand. My companions walked further on and then stopped to reflect on the beautiful landscape and scene they were a part of. I watched and reflected on the image of my friends standing on the surface of the world. The peace, tranquility and magnitude of our world and surroundings. Foxton Beach, Autumn, New Zealand.

Location
I took this photo on Foxton Beach, New Zealand in Autumn. It was a relatively cold day in late afternoon. We had gone out to the beach to take a walk and found oursleves alone as the sky filled with clouds and reflected in the water.Time
The photo was taken in late afternoon in Autumn.Lighting
The lighting was soft as the weak sun was hidden by cloud which was reflecting in the wet sand along the beach. This is turn highlighted the colour of the sky and natural stance of the two people and their reflections. It all drew my eye towards the horizon and I loved this perspective.Equipment

I wrote a poem about the photo as it inspired me so much. "Reflecting on reflection, On the surface of the world, The natural light and water, A mirror of my soul."Editing
No post-processing this is a natural photo. In my camera bag
I always carry a monopod for stability and ease of use and my Canon Powershot SX60 camera wherever I go. I hate missing out on that shot - the one you regret if the camera isn't with you. I also carry a spare SIM card and battery.Feedback
The eye is the difference in a good and great shot. You have to see the shot and patience is the key. Get down low and see the reflections in the wet sand. Look up at the sky and step back from the scene. Detach and reflect on the composition, lighting and take the shot from your own perspective.
