I like that music. You were lucky to have attended a live concert of it. Figure skater Chen Lu skated to it at the 1998 Olympics, and won the bronze medal.

Thank you. I would have loved to see that routine. I really enjoy the Olympic figure skating. 😊

Location
This photo was taken at the Globe Theatre, Manawatu during a concert performed by Hannah Fang on violin solo with accompanying band, New Zealand.Time
This photo was taken at the Globe Theatre during an evening performance by Hannah Fang, Manawatu, New Zealand. 67.919 mm f5.6 1/40 sec ISO 800Lighting
This lighting is all from above and sides, stage lighting, with this particular shot taken as the Hannah was center stage positioned under a spotlight. The spotlight highlighted the beautiful dress Hannah was wearing and the violin she was playing. Her facial expression and emotion were also clearly shown under the spotlight.Equipment
I used my Canon PowerShot SX530 HS, hand held and a natural shot, as no flash photography was permitted during the performance.Inspiration
Hannah played many pieces that night, some with exhilaration and some more subdued. I took many shots but for this particularly one I was drawn to her emotion and complete absorption in the music she was playing. Her facial expression showed so much emotion and passion which in turn drew in and translated to everyone in the audience.Editing
For this particular shot no post-processing was used. The natural beauty of the moment was captured so well I felt no further intervention was required. In my camera bag
I always have two cameras with me. At present a Canon PowerShot SX60 HS and my larger Nikon Coolpix 950. I carry these cameras as they are lighter and I have difficulty lifting heavier cameras and lenses. I like the zoom features on both, the macro and of course my favorite feature on the Nikon, Bird setting. I take many bird photos and paint from these images. I also have attached to one of these cameras my monopod for easy setting up, dropping and locking. Also in the bag are spare batteries for each. I detest finding that great shot and then the camera running out of battery at that exact time. Learned that lesson the hard way. Now always carry spares.Feedback
I feel you have to go with the moment and capture what moves you during a show. There is always so much movement and color and life on stage but for this shot I looked for emotion and expression.
