Behind The Lens

Location

This one is taken at the Samiadventure camp just outside of Tromsø, Norway.

Time

taken about 4 hours before midnight, I was waiting for the guests to arrive. So it was a perfect time to "test" my northern lights settings.

Lighting

We always put out Oil lamps so our guests can see the "road", I think the lapms made the picture.

Equipment

As always i walk around with a Canon :) Camera: Canon 6D - Lens: Canon 24-70mm L F2.8 - tripod: Vanguard alta 233

Inspiration

I was actuall waiting for the Northern lights to show but the sky, stars and the oil lamps makes a nice picture too :)

Editing

as always I adjusted the colors a bit so that the picture will "pop"

In my camera bag

My canon 6D (Of course), Canon EF 24-70/2,8 L Usm, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM , Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS I USM, Vanguard alta 233 tripod, Lee Filters, unnamed cable release and some cleaning equipment. all that inside my Lowepro Photo Sport 200 AW (yeah the backpack is getting pretty full now, need a bigger backpack)

Learn to know your equipment, use a fast lense and a good tripod. yeah and also have patience :)
