Location
This photo was taken in Risvika, which is approximately 30 minutes' drive from the city of Tromsø. This is actually my first HDR image so am very happy with the result.Time
This picture was taken on the 1st of August 2014, I had just read about HDR processing, when I looked out the window that there was going to be a storm, fortunately my mother was visiting, so she could babysit, I jumped in the car drove to Risvika.Lighting
As I said, I looked out the window at home that it is going to be a storm. In addition, I had driven past the old house in Risvika several times and thought that with storm clouds this would make a nice picture.Equipment
Since I virtually had just started taking pictures with DSLR camera, I had bought a beginner model from Canon, a Canon 1100D (unsure if it's called something else in other countries) with the kit lens. A good beginner camera, I must say. Also used a cheap unsteady tripod.Inspiration
I had just read about HDR processing and thought at once that the old house in Risvika was perfect try with HDR technique, the storm clouds really made the picture.Editing
I used Photomatix to create HDR image, since this is my first HDR image I really just played with the settings until I was happy.In my camera bag
Having just gone over to full-frame camera. So in my sack there is a Canon 6D and 24-70 2.8 lens, hoping to buy a fast wide-angle lens before aurora season starts for full.Feedback
Since I am pretty novice in this field, I do not think that I am the right person to ask for advice. All I have to say is go out and have fun with your camera :)
