Yikes! Great capture! The falling snow on the left is a little concerning, but awesome shot. If you haven't done so already, please consider joining my FREEZE! challenge:)

Location
In the Easter, me and some friends set up base camp in Vengedalen, Romsdalen. There were a lot of snow coming down this easter so the weather was not in the best mod the higher up you came. We tried 4 days to get to the top of Store Vengetind ( Romsdalens highest mountain), got turned back by strong winds, no visibylity or high avalanche risk. On the 4 atempt the weather were clearing as we got higher, but there were fog cape that locked it self to the summit, when we reached the summit it all cleared and we could see all of Romsdalen douring the Golden hour. The decent is just iconic and exposed, it is a must for every ski mountaineer. As we were descenting I were in the lead and figured out a good spot for the athlets to do his show.Time
After we got of the ridge and in the couloir, the lighting were just perfect, we got on the ridge of the couloir and could start to see parts of the massive Troll Wall. I were a little disappointed that the athlet covered the iconic spiers of the Troll Wall in this picture, but snow debrie, the sense of movement and the golden glow to the snow made it better than I were expecting.Lighting
I wanted the golden soft glow in the snow, insted of just a white&blue picture.Equipment
I used a Canon 70D and I were testing out a new lens, the Samyang 14m f2.8. superb lens but takes time to get jused to the manuelfocus, so slow down and takes some test shootsInspiration
The week before I saw some submitions to Red Bull Illume and got realy stoked, the rest were up to the imagination and my sense of framingEditing
This picture didnt need much post-processing, Only one raw file, I did some basic retouching in lightroom and exported the .TIF file in to Photoshop, in there I used color efex pro, just to make the colors pop a little more.In my camera bag
Most of the time I bring my Canon 70D, but what lense I use while on a Alpinist trip depends, takes with me all of my lenses to the base camp but on the summit push I only takes whit me 1 Lense, because I dont want extra weight in the pack. So I need to have in mind what framing I'm looking for and the scenery. Prime lenses takes stunning pictures but then I dont have the zoom feature, so get to know your lense before you go to the big mountains.Feedback
Know when the golden hour starts, as you are on the ascent look around insted of watching down on your boots. On the descent look around and imagine the framing as you go, take some test shot and move around till you're satisfied. Get the athletes to wear colors like Red, Blue or Green this will stand out and make an strong effect to the photography
