Now that is the way it should always be done. Beautiful , enticing woman with her clothes on. With those other kinds of pics could be moved to a different category. . Amazing capture.

Location
This was during late Autumn in the Redwood Forest, California. I was on the way from one city to another city for a work assignment. Took a little extra time to drive through “The Avenue of Giants” It was so worth it to experience this amazing forest! I was pleasantly surprised to find there were still colors of Fall this late in the season! When I saw this little side road with yellow leaves during a misty rain, I thought it was a perfect place to capture a forest image. I decided to add the human element so I jumped into the shot!Time
It was afternoon (maybe around 2pm) in misty light rain on a very cloudy day. Very cold and damp, but the bright yellow and orange leaves added warmth down the road. I thought It felt like walking right into visual poem!Lighting
There was such a magical mood in this lovely spot with light streaming through the trees onto the little road. The light was still high enough to come through the trees and make the yellow leaves appear to be glowing. I did use a delay (rear sync) flash with an added diffuser on manual setting for adding drama and highlight to leaves and trees in the foreground.Equipment
Shot with a Canon T3i, Canon 24-70 2.8L ii lens. Also used a tripod, flash and a remote timer.Inspiration
This kind of a beautiful forest is enough to inspire imagination, especially with Autumn colors and moody misty atmosphere! It was a very spontaneous photo shoot inspired by the moment I saw the beautiful curving road with golden leaves. This location reminds me of pictures I've seen in story books and writings of poetry I've read over the years. As you can see by the size of the tree on the left, redwoods are very large and it evokes the dramatic!!! I kind of liked the idea of using the contrast of my more city type clothing and deep forest because it portrays the feeling of an outsider stepping softly into a dreamy scene.Editing
I shoot in raw. Started editing in light room to bring up shadows, sharpen, bring up the luminosity of yellows as well as up exposure with tool brush in areas I wanted to bring out more detail of the trees. Then I moved it into photo shop and sharped it a little more and added a filter to give it more overall mood.In my camera bag
Canon T3i, Canon 6D, Canon 24-74 2.8L ii, Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II, Canon 50 1.8 stm, Canon 10-22mm lens, 430 EX external Flash, timer, Tripod, reflectorFeedback
Always check weather ahead of time when heading into a forest location so you don't end up in a lighting storm. I do think one of the best tips for taking an image like this is look for cloudy overcast days with light not directly overhead, but slightly to the side. Also take several angles to find the best location to show scale of the trees and add a person in it. This was taken during last month of Fall so the leaves cover sides of the street , but on the trees, a little more sparse which adds to the overall look.
