Location
The photo was taken at Summitville, Colorado, an abandoned gold mining town at eleven thousand feet in elevation.Time
The photo was taken mid afternoon when the sun was high.Lighting
Natural lighting with no flash.Equipment
I used an Olympus E520 and the shot was hand-held.Inspiration
My brother and I had heard about this ghost town and wanted to visit and explore the various abandoned structures. I was able to capture many images of various buildings in disrepair.Editing
I used photoshop to adjust the lighting and sharpen the focus. In my camera bag
I now use a Nikon D7100. The Olympus E520 is still used as a backup camera.Feedback
When visiting a ghost town, be careful when walking around the buildings because very often there will be objects on the ground like nails protruding from board that can cause injury.
