Byron Excelon Generating Station. These two units are capable of producing 2336 MW of electricity for the city of Chicago; enough for approximately 2 million average American homes. Photographed on Sept. 12, 2011 during the peak of the midwest harvest moon, this station sits in the middle of a couple thousand acres of farmland. The towers hum in the blackness, as the corn stalks rustle in the brisk night air. Sound travels across the fields, like on a lake - perfect for long exposures and vivid imaginations. Stephen King would be in writing heaven. For those of you whom have never heard the saying, "knee high by the fourth of july" - this simply means the farmers will have a good year.

Wow. Fantastic. And you're a good writer. You should definitely send this to Stephen King!
