Small world with the Clearwater Pier umbrella art. I shot them from the other end of the pier. There were a lot more umbrellas when I got the photo in 2011. I will look for the shot I got last year with the umbreallas bleached out.

I do not know why my photos sometimes come out with other colors mixed in such as the palm with purple, the hippos add purple to brown, the reds pick up orange and visa versa and there is no orange on the flower, etc. I have tried several cameras so I have to think it is me doing something or something I do not know about how to fix???
and thank you for the congrats. I really appreciate it.

Location
This photo was taken at Clearwater Beach Pier 60, Florida, USA. I am a self taught, still learning amateur photographer. I've had a few special members on Viewbug along the way to teach me one or two basics as I go.Time
This was a very special day for me as it was the first day I drove out of town to the beach after a traumatic life change and years of medical measures. I'd heard of this site in Florida, approx. 35 miles from my home yet due to a full work schedule prior, I had to keep it on a "to do" list. Spontaneously it was a family outing and in the firsts at that time in my seeking new normals for my life. I felt like a child in awe over the pier lined with umbrellas, color, and after years of medical treatments and physical therapy I was fascinated by the entire area that seemed so lively. I learned that the umbrellas were used as a wind block for vendors set up as tourists and local people daily walked the pier to purchase merchandise and see entertainers. The set up of the wind block takes place daily at approx. 2 pm and seems to take personified life about 4 pm through evening where sunsets are another amazing view in itself off the pier. This location will always have significant personal meaning to me and still remains a favorite when I am able to go.Lighting
Being at a Florida west coast beach, the lighting was natural sunlight.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Casio CAMERA Exilim EX-Z29. No other equipment was used. I have learned when spontaneous unexpected outings take place to use my hand in a fist position set firm on something under it such as concrete wall, table, ledge, car door w window rolled down as a base with the camera on top for added stability.Inspiration
I was overwhelmed by the beauty, colors, people and ideas that were before me. The more I saw at this beach/pier location, the more I wanted and the more I snapped the camera as I went. This was a day of personal achievement just to be there and enjoying! After years of medical attention daily from multiple injuries including TBI, the scenes here were a healing within my heart. This photo is one of hundreds plus that I've taken at this location. The camera became part of new normals for me and everything I saw became like a discovery zone I enjoyed.Editing
If I did any post processing to this photo it would have been minimal because I did not know edit programs at this time. Maybe the "auto" button to make auto adjustments? Again and sorry for the repetitive response, yet, even the capability for a photo edit program I found amazing. I was very behind on modern technology and I was awed by how an edit program did things for you!In my camera bag
I normally carry my camera on a neck/shoulder strap with a lense cover attachment. I improvise using "things" as a tripod to help steady my hands in shooting. I use rechargeable batteries and carry an extra set precharged as well as extra scan disk cards. If doing night shoots into the sky, I then have a tripod set up.Feedback
When visiting the state of Florida in USA, from approx. June through end of October each year we have a rainy season. It literally rains about every day same time and also on unexpected times. Within Florida nearby Tampa, it is called the lightning capital of the world. The time of day for rain seems to be a natural schedule with storms in afternoon around the same time daily. Knowing this, it is easier to plan a day trip and more. And it is not a surprise to see rain on one side of the street and no rain on the other side of the street. Therefore, look around because single and double rainbows with an occasional third rainbow might be appearing around you at the same time! Keep shooting! and most of all, follow your heart as you go to "hear" the story told through the photos...
