Behind The Lens

Location

I live in the woods of Northern Michigan so when I saw the early morning fog rolling in, I grabbed my camera ad wet out.

Time

My favorite time to take pictures is early morning. I love the dramatic lighting and the contrast and the colors.

Lighting

I cropped the picture a bit to focus in on what I saw as important. I also increased the contrast a bit.

Equipment

I used a Nikon 3300 with a wide angle lens.

Inspiration

The contrast between the lights and darks, the angle of the sunlight through the trees and the fog calls to me.

Editing

I cropped the picture a bit to focus in on what I saw as important. I also increased the contrast a bit.

In my camera bag

I have a wide angle lens, a telephoto zoom 18-300, lens cleaner and wipes, and an extra battery.

Feedback

Always have your camera handy and carry a charged battery just in case. Have your tripod next to the door. Always look out the windows for that special moment.
