This photo was taken during a trip that was randomly set by a good friend it is located in Port Dickson , Malaysia.Time
This photo was taken during the night time probably around 10PM. I usually am not a beach person and never swim i always prefer just sitting there or walking around i had brought my camera with me as i love taking long exposure photos. It may be dark but i feel colors are more vibrant during the night especially light reflections off of buildings.Lighting
This photo was more inspired by just the stars in the sky and the thunder storm that was occurring further ahead i saw a huge star in the middle and decided to center myself there and just enjoy the view but as i saw the photo the lights from the sea formed a triangle with the star being the top.Equipment
I used a Canon 60D and had mounted a Tokina 11-16MM lens. I used a self timer of 10 seconds to get myself into position and ran to center myself with the star. I set the shutter to 30 seconds.Inspiration
I have not been to the beach in years and i always prefer taking photos at night because it may be dark but i feel colors are more alive during the night. I saw the lights and the thunderstorm and a huge star in the middle and i decided to take a photo of this as a memory of this random trip. I was also very curious on how a long exposure at the beach would look like during the night so i set up my camera and spent a few hours just enjoying the scenery.Editing
Yes i have post processed this photo but it is quite a simple one. I opened up the image on Photoshop's camera raw i added a slight contrast increased the shadows decreased the highlights and added clarity and a little bit of vibrance. In my camera bag
I have my Canon 60D and my Tokina 11-16MM F2.8 Lens i had 2 more lenses but i had sold them in order to get the Tokina and i bring my tripod along.Feedback
Well the only thing that comes to mind is find the scenery that you really like admire and connect with somehow something that you just like too look at and just capture that moment because you will also be capturing the feeling you get from looking at that scenery.
