Location
Aldeyjarfoss waterfall is considered the most beautiful one in the river Skjalfandafljot. The waterfall is framed with long, natural basaltic columns. It is located in the uppermost regions of the Bardardalur valley, on the Sprengisandur highland route. The toad to it is a rough gravel path, impassable in the winter time unless you have a super-jeep, modified for Icelandic conditions.Time

The lighting could have been better, they sky was white.Equipment
Nikon D5300, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II lens, Lee ND filter (6stop), Manfrotto tripod and a remote :)Inspiration
Mainly I wanted to experiment with my new Lee ND filter. I did various kind of shots, some with the filter and some without it. The best shot was I think without the filter, it was a short exposure and I freeze the snowflakes in the air, nice mood.Editing
I'm sure I added clarity in the Adobe Camera Raw software. In my camera bag
My worn-out bag includes Nikon D5300, two extra batteries, Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC lens, AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II lens, AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor ED 55-200mm F4-5.6G lens, remote shutter, lens cleaning cloths and chocolate. Chocolate is the most essential thing to carry when driving the center highland of Iceland. Of course food, water and other survival essentials are needed, but standing in a great landscape, waiting for the right lighting calls for good Icelandic chocolate.Feedback
I would advice anyone that want to capture Aldeyarfoss in the wintertime to contact a local that will get you there. For example myself, I live in the area and I have a super-jeep that can drive on snow, without any road.
