We passed this iconic bridge most days from our base when exploring Tuscany, the light was never really that good and I wanted to get a slightly different image. I waited for a bright but not too contrasty light and a bridge free of people and tour coaches on the road. I loved the typical faded tuscan colours and the milky green river - it really was that colour!Editing
I used Photomatix Pro to process a series of 7 images from 1/400 sec - 1/6 sec in 1EV steps I then optimised exposure, tone, sharpness, clarity etc. in Lightroom before blending with some of the original frames in PhotoshopIn my camera bag

Look for a different take on well photographer iconic sites, this can be POV, processing treatment or even time of day/night etc.... If I'm visiting an area for while I'll try to get an idea of light directions (Using The Photographers Ephemeris or compass!), when and how many people are visiting and if for images like this it is floodlit. I will try and get an image early in the stay and use it to fine tune a visit when the weather and conditions are optimal - don't however put shooting off expecting these optimal conditions to happen!
