Great performance!!
You have given 2020 a positive swing that is really (nice) positive, a contribution to the Year 2020 Collection. As always, the competition will be tough, which, as an added consequence, makes the victory taste very sweet. Good luck and probably for the … time: Happy New Year and stay healthy in 2021!

Location
I live in very close proximity to the Myakka River State Park near Sarasota, Florida. It's my favorite place to take photos of nature and wildlife. This old live oak tree has been one of my favorite subjects to photograph over the years. The resurrection ferns covering the tree's branches are usually wilted and brown in color. After a rainfall however, they resurrect themselves to become bright green and bushy within just a few hour after they become dampened.Time
The photo was taken midday when the sun was high but the sky was partially clouded.Lighting
When the sun shone brightly, the accompanying shadows were intense. I waited until a cloud passed over the sun to take the photograph which gave me an image free of harsh shadows with even lighting throughout.Equipment
I used a Nikon D7100 DSLR mounted on a tripod with an attached shutter release switch and a Tamron 18 - 400 mm lens. The flash was not used.Inspiration
I have been aware of this old tree for many years. I waited until the ferns were fully "resurrected" before I attempted to take this photo.Editing
I used Photoshop to crop the image and enhance the color and detail. In my camera bag
I have several lenses in my bag but prefer to use mainly my Tamron 18 - 400 mm lens because it is so versatile, allowing me to take wide angle shots at 18 mm and closeups when fully extended to 400 mm.Feedback
When attempting to take a similar photo, wait for the right light, preferably during an overcast day.
