Marta is, for me at least, special.

Don't get me wrong, I loved working with all my models; but, with Marta, even more.

This, the first session I did with her, was plenty of issues.

We decided to do the session in Fòrum; but, since it was Feria de Abril, it was closed, so, we were asked to leave by security guards in the middle of the session.

Also, and that's the most critical issue we faced, camera battery run out and, the other one I always have with me was not charged; so, we had to shoot with my HTC M9 (in RAW, obviously)

Despite these and all the issues we faced, we did a great session, so great indeed that we did the next one, not even seven days after this one.

Even more on their favor (and please, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against MUAs, stylist, and so...), she was her own MUA, stylist and all; and, moreover, she did it great (as you'll see on the photos here).

So, I hope you'll like this, the first session with Marta.

Behind The Lens

One afternoon In late April/early May! We were escaping "Feria de Abril" and we ended in this forbidden place,

Time

Early afternoon that was the time,

Lighting

Sun, sun, sun! Even if I, regularly, use flashes and other artificial lighting, I have to reckon that there's nothing like the good ol' sun!

Equipment

I used my main camera, glorious APS-C, Sony Alpha 6500. The Lens was Sony E 35 MM 1.8 OSS Tripod, I just used my hands and for lighting I just used the sun!

Inspiration

As usual, the model and the session... We were there, the weather was right, the light was also right, so, we went to the balcony and, among others, we took this one...

Editing

like 'organic photography' and I like to take photographs not to process them afterwards. So, this one has the minimum post processing to let it looking right...

Camera: Sony ILCE-6500 Lenses: Sony 35 MM 1.8 OSS | 50 MM 1.8 OSS | FE 85 MM OSS. Flashes: 2 remote Nissin HSS + 1 Nissin remote commander. Tripods: 2 flashes tripods+ umbrellas + one Amazon Basics monopod. Misc: Extra batts for everything + Bluetooth speaker + Remote shooter + ....

Feedback

Don't hold yourself from shooting. If you do 10,000 shots there's more chances of getting one lucky shot. Also, have your flashes ready, if you get lucky as we did in this one, you won't need them... but, in many cases you'll need them. And last, but surely not least, you need to have a great model. And, with Jessica, I had the best one can ask.
