OK boy, if you can pick your head up, you can have one more pint :-) I love this image, and I wish my head was on the bar next to this handsome fellow!!

Location
This was taken in a pub in HampshireTime
Lunchtime, well, just before eating, after a quick pint!Lighting
The lighting was actually fairly dimEquipment
Just a point and shoot Olympus, hand held, no flashInspiration
I know this dog very well as he belongs to a close family member. He has a very expressive face and in this picture was actually looking bored and a bit fed up that we were in the pub and not out playing in the sea where he loves to fetch sticks. I just thought the picture of him looking at the empty glass was very amusing, especially his expression!Editing
Contrast adjusted, slight lomo and Orton effects using PicasaIn my camera bag
I usually carry several cameras (although this time I only had one!) : Nikon D5100 with 55-300mm telephoto lens, Nikon coolpix P900, Nikon J2 with 10-30mm lens. I always carry spare batteries and SD cards. I sometimes use a monopod or tripod and occasionally use filters or macro gear. This pic was taken with an Olympus TG-1 which is compact and quick.Feedback
Be prepared to catch that quirky moment, regardless of what equipment you use: a mobile phone camera can do the job well. It's all about opportunistic awareness and spotting something that has some resonance.
