Thank you. I wonder what they think of people taking photos of their home.

I was on a road trip, just me and my son to Philadelphia to see his favourite team, the Flyers. I bought him box seats for his birthday. The drive was simply breathtaking all around from Ottawa to Pennsylvania. On our way back, we stayed in New Jersey and spent a day in Manhattan. It was on our way back from there that on one of our rest stops, I caught this. I honestly don't remember where exactly this stop was. Somewhere along Highway 87. I pulled off to many rests and my (22 year old) son was very patient. The vistas and hills were so colourful and I loved the drive home. I highly recommend an autumn drive along this highway.Time
This was early to mid afternoon. We took off from New York early that morning. The weather was pretty overcast, the day before was nothing but rain. I was actually concerned that most of the leaves would be gone with the amount of rain we had but the overall scenery was still very good.Lighting
The lighting was what I was given. This can be a blessing because no harsh shadows are evident. It is autumn, after all.Equipment
My Canon T3i at the time, no tripod or flash.Inspiration
The autumn colours, of course. The fact that this house has such a clearing made it stand out. There is a highway between me and this house. You can't see it but you can sure hear it.Editing
I did a little bit of post processing only to emphasize the colours. A bit of dodge and burning on the house to highlight some of the architecture and that's it.In my camera bag
Then? Pretty much the T3i, kit lens and maybe a zoom lens. Now, lets just say, it's grown.Feedback
Keep your eyes open and keep on driving. That being said, I did try many angles at this stop. Even captured some leaves falling from the trees closer to me and they just didn't work. Rules of thirds wins again.
