As you said, "very common view of the church," however, you have turned that into a masterpiece!

Behind The Lens

Location

The vantage point of this photo is Rockliffe Park in Ottawa. Most people step up to the edge and take just the water and hills. I decided the whole scene needed to be taken in.

Time

Pretty much mid day with interesting g clouds.

Lighting

Natural light and with the overcast day, I was able to bring out the stone inside as opposed to a bright sunny day where the contrast would be too much.

Equipment

I always use Canon, in this case, a tripod and wide angle lense.

Inspiration

It's a common photo taken in Ottawa especially on an autumn day but I personally had never seen anyone step back and take in the lookout.

Editing

A litte bit of saturation and shadow development.

In my camera bag

Always the canon, long lens, mid and wide.

Feedback

Sometimes it is a simple as stepping g back. Take in the whole scene.
