Location
This was taken in a flower garden of a friend who has a prolific green thumb! Every thing she grows is beautiful, and deserves to be captured forever as a photographic image. And that is what I love to do,"freeze" the beauty via photos.Time
I'm not sure, but I think it was in the early mid-morning. The light was hitting it just right for me.Lighting
I wanted to do this in black and white, to keep it simple and pure. I added a black board behind it ( which I also darkened post proccess too.) My focus was on the front flower. I wanted that one to be extra sharp, the other flower was just slightly out of focus.Equipment
Nikon D-300, Tamron 18-200 lens, Tripod.Inspiration
I like the way the flowers bends on the stalks so gracefully from left to right. It was almost like they were two geishas dancing.Editing
I changed from color to black and white because I thought it gave a delicate appearance in black and white. I also darkened the black background to enhance the pearly white of the flowers. In my camera bag
Don't have much money, so, my Nikon, my Tamron lense, my Nikon 35mm lens and a few basic filters.Feedback
Try to decide what it is that you want to capture in a photo. In this one, I desired to show the graceful and delicate nature of the flowers. Sometimes, it's not just the physical nature of the object, but also the atmosphere you might want to capture.
