Thanks for the comment. I don't know about the year, but it was a Ford.

Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in The Village, Florida, which has many interesting scenes to photograph.

Time

It was a bright, sunny day, but isn't it always in Florida? I believe it was in the afternoon. I was walking around Brownwood Square when I came across this old wreck of a car.

Lighting

The lighting was perfect, just like the day.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D-300 camera with a Tamron 28-300 lens, with Aperture: f/22.0 ISO: 200 and Exposure: 1/30

Inspiration

What got me looking at taking a shot was the juxtaposition of the blue flowers with the rust of the license plate and the gleam of the head lights. I got down low to emphasize that perspective and used the HDR technique for the same reason. I was pleased with the outcome.

Editing

I used Photomatrix for HDR and Photoshop to make sure HDR is not overdone.

In my camera bag

I don't have a lot of money to spend on extra camera equipment, so its the camera, the Tamron lense(28-300), which I use alot), and a NIkon 35 mm. I also have a great Manofrotto tripod. One of these days, I might spring for a wide angle lense.

Feedback

Look at the scene from different angles, low, high, sideways, etc. So many views other than straight on, and it all can be triggered by just one little object, like a pretty blue flower.
