Location
This was taken at North Pond in Norway Maine from a canoe. Am a self taught photographer of many years starting with film and a darkroom.Time
It was early in the morningLighting
Taken with just natural light and a high shutter speed to capture the action and reduce the chance of camera shakeEquipment
Taken with a Canon 7D and my Canon 100-400 f4-5.6 L lensInspiration
Have always enjoyed wildlife so had this opportunity to try some ducks if flight. The day turned out to be one of the best days of shooting ever. Have found out over the years that if you are prepared and have a little luck you can get the shot that just says WOWEditing
Shot in raw and processed in Photoshop 6 using my normal processing. In my camera bag
7DII and Canon 6D cameras. My lenses are 10-22 EF-S --24-70 F2.8 L--100 f2.8 macro and 100-400 f4-5.6L they are all Canons. Also a tripod with gimbal and ball head.Feedback
Always remember that you need a high shutter speed to stop the action. When trying to shoot wildlife ,the more you know about them and their habits the better chance you will have for success
