Incredible image! I love this. It is truly as if I was reading a story book when I see this photograph.
This one page of the book had an image of towns in the desert. Suddenly the page begins to have a burn mark in the middle. The burn continues to spread and eat away the page's image. Soon, there is a gaping whole in the middle of this image that was in the book you were holding in your hand. You look closely and see that there is now a real world through the whole and it is not just a photograph that you are looking at.
Very nice photograph!

Location
This photo was taken near the dead sea in Israel in an abandoned restaurant with still a painted wall and a hole in the middle of the wall... through the hole you can the desert and the clouds of the area.Time
it was taken in the afternoon when the sun was behind me.and it was covered by cloudsLighting
The picture was taken during the winter period so the clouds in the background gave me a great light and perfect light on the painted wall as well.Equipment
I use my Nikon D300 to take this picture with lens of NIkon 17-55 ... perfect equipment but more important was the great place I've visited there.Inspiration
Many time - people keep asking what they are missing behind the wall ... does it looks better from the other side. When I saw this abandoned painted wall with the hole (cause by tank's bomb or something like that ...) I look through the hole and saw the desert from the other side - perfect scene to show what behind through the hole.Editing
I use some layers and masking in order to keep the light on all area. Improve some contrast and make it a little bit more warm atmosphere...In my camera bag
in general I'm carry with me wide lens (Sigma 10-20,Nikon 17-55 and Nikon 12-24) with my Nikon Camera and set of filters to deal with the light in the area that can surprised...Feedback
Always look around you and try to find good spots from a different angel... you might be surprised from what you get around you and you take it from a unique angle with perfect light.
