Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken in the sitting room set of my North Carolina studio.

Time

I believe the image was taken late morning. We typically start our studio sessions around 10 so we can take full advantage of the natural sunlight in the bedroom set.

Lighting

This is one of my favorite lighting techniques for this pose! I use a Nikon flash behind her tushy to create the backlight effect. The light from the right is natural light coming in from the windows.

Equipment

This was shot with my Nikon D750, Nikkor 50mm 1.8 Lens, and my Nikon Sb500 flash.

Inspiration

I absolutely love this dress from Leah Maria and really wanted to showcase it differently then I had seen anywhere else. This pose is a fantastic last shot for my boudoir clients and the rose was the perfect little something extra for this particular boudie.

Editing

I do basic hand edits using camera raw & photoshop and artistic edits using Greater Than Gatsby actions that I tweak.

In my camera bag

I typically carry my D750, 50mm, and 85mm primes. I also have my SB500, Parapop Octobox, and Magsphere.
