This is so difficult to capture but you got it! So fresh and crisp. Well done!

Thanks. I am trying still to get a drop on drop splash without the expensive timing devise.

This is a unique idea with the star flash view. I have down water drop photograph before but did not go for the star. Nice

Location
The setup was in my bathroom, so the clean up later is easier.Time
Mid dayLighting
I used black paper on the window to cut stray light. Used a single off camera flash at low power to freeze the droplet action.Equipment
Canon camera on a tripod with remote shutter release. 100mm macro lens. Speed light on a separate tripodInspiration
Droplets always have the surprise factor as each shot will give a dramatic image and the gives long hours of enjoyment once the setup is finalized.Editing
yes , adjusted the lighting and contrast, and of course added a starburst using topaz filter. In my camera bag
One Canon 5D mark III body, macro, wide angle and two zoom lenses.Feedback
Tripods are essential. A macro lens will give sharper image with great detail. A speedlight where you can adjust the power will be a great help. I used a saline bag fitted to a saline giving set with a drip controller to give the droplets.
