I took this after I was trying to get some star trails over the Benalla Art Gallery. Trying to get the star effect on the lights just help in making this a stand out.Time
This photo was taken at about 20:30 while it was dark - I also had to wait for no cars to go across the bridgeLighting
Nighscape is difficult as it takes time to set up, take and then retake off needed. Slow shutter and higher iso to enable the capture of the light to help the viewer to see the actual ‘landscape’.Equipment
I used my Canon RP with a NiSi 14 mm lens. I used my manfrotto tripod as I needed to have as slow shutter speed.Inspiration
I love the ability to capture a different scene at night and the difficulty of getting that photo or star trailEditing
I did process the image to to help bring out the light as well as to tone down some of the actual lights on the bridge. I was hoping to get some stars but as the lights on the bridge meant that the stars were ‘washed’ out.In my camera bag
I usually carry extra batteries, lenses and memory cards. I also carry a few cameras as I do need to have most things covered so I can grab the image i see.Feedback
This type of photography does take some practice and some time. I usually find that I have to take a few test shots as all night photos are different and have different settings. Keep trying
