Location
While have to drive to work, am lucky that it takes passed quite a few fields and I usually leave home a lot earlier than I need to so I can stop along the way. This photo was taken passed a small town calked Lake Rowen along the Benalla-Tocamwall RdTime
This was taken just on sunrise with some fog which allowed the light to ‘stream’ through the branchesLighting
I prefer to take photos when there is something more than blue skies- why you ask? - well it adds to the photo. In this case fog definitely added to this photoEquipment
This was taken wth my Canon 450D and a 18-50 mm kit lens. I did need to adjust the iOS to allow me to get this hand-held with a reasonable shutter speedInspiration
I just love fog and the sun trying to burn through the fog. The tree is an added bonus to this as it allows the sun to have stress or rays.Editing
Nothing really - just some added contrast and some shadow enhancement. I wasn’t that confident using photo software so it just is what you see hereIn my camera bag
I now carry a few cameras with dedicate lenses - canon 450D with Tamron 26-300 mm lens (this camera has been converted to allow me to take ir photos), canon 7d with Tamron 10-24mm lens (mainly for star trails or nightscape photos), canon 6D with sigma 24-70mm lens(mainly for landscapes) , canonn rp with sigma 50-500mm lens( landscapes and wildlife), 4 different drones(aerial video/photography) and a few 360 cameras. Yes some filters for light adjustment and a couple of tripods with various heads.Feedback
I think in most cases you really need to look for places (scouting I think it is called) that you then pass by regularly that would look good if ... happens. I look fir spots that I think would look good at sunset or sunrise with some clouds or rainbow or fog or stars. You also need to listen to others as we all are still learning - no one knows everything about taking and processing photos
