After exploring Yaxchilan we made the drive back to Palenque. Maybe 10 miles from our hotel the clouds and storms moved in and it was amazing to watch. It meant we didn’t get to swim in the pool that night, but it also meant seeing the amazing fields alight with afternoon sun contrasted against the incredible clouds.
