Wow, this is an amazing portrait, though the story behind it is very sad. This world we live in is ever changing and I'm not so sure it's for the good. In some ways I suppose our medical advancements are for the good, but our selfishness is not. Pitty!

When I look at this image it's like I'm seeing a different evolution of mankind, that technology took us in one direction and man without technology went in another. Our technology hasn't made us better only different for as a civilization we have lost the closeness with nature and should we for whatever reason lose our technology our civilization as we no it would crumble and those such as this fellow would survive where we would not...

This is undougtly a great photo. It is technically perfect, the choice of B/W is the proper decision, composition attracts the eye in the subject, and the face without an expression is expressive, while the photo tells a sensitive and important story. What amazes me more though Ruwan, is your endurance to go and find such stories and expose them through your lens. Congratulations!
