This biplane was built by Boeing Aircraft in Wichita KS. The initial flight of the first civilian production was in 1933. The first Army version of the PT-3 was in 1936. The PT-17 was produced for the Army and Navy from 1936-1945. This model is in the Palm Springs Air Museum where you will find over 49 Vintage Aircraft from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. This Stearman is one of 5 different aircraft that you can actually fly in at the Museum which is at the Palm Springs Airport. Shot with A Nikon Z-7 and 24-70 f/4 S Z lens @ 30mm, f/14, 1/80, ISO 64, manual mode. A 16 bit flat Tiff created in Nikon Capture NX-D was processed in PS2021 with the PPW panel installed.
