Beautiful Duffy. Takes me back - I had a condo on Maui and have been to Haleakala several times.

Thank you Don. I was unprepared for the silence. This image was taken about 700'feet down inside the crater (if you want to call it that) and it was indeed "one of the quietest places on Earth!" Maui was a unique experience for me. I think this image exemplifies my time there. Thanks again!

Duffy, did you do the bus up / bike down package? Not sure what they call it, but it was available in the early 80's when I lived on Oahu (USAF, 3 yrs, A.D.). Also, if you get there before the sun comes up there will be milk in the bowl (clouds) and when the sun breaks the clouds "spill" out of the bowl. Awesome sight.
